Marvel and Moving Picture Companies produced 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and it was directed by James Gunn, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel (voice) and Bradley Cooper (Voice).
This feature film had a production budget of $170 million, and it was shot with a Arri Alexa XT plus camera, system using Zeiss Master Prime Lenses.
An extremely wide variety of marketing tools were used to market this film as it was the feature film of the summer holidays, so there was everything, trailers and posters with billboards and social media aspects. It was hugely marketed worldwide as the largest blockbuster of the summer.
Synergy was used with this film by using the Marvel merchandise shop to sell a wide variety of merchandise such as toys, action figures and costumes to help promote the film. Also songs were very prominent throughout the film and these could be considered to be used to raise awareness.
Guardians of the Galaxy was released worldwide and in the majority of cinemas, as it was produced to be one of 2014's largest blockbusters, it was made available in both 3D and digital in IMAX cinemas in UK.
The target audience for this film was a young teenagers audience, however it also targeted the older marvel hero lovers, and the parents of the younger target audience were also considered to draw in the audiences.
