GOAL- The swede

As a group of four boys, we decided pretty easily that the film we wanted to make a swede on is 'GOAL' the film about a young Mexican boy who jumps the border into America, and develops a love for football. He then gets scouted by an old English scout and he flies over to Newcastle for a trial where he struggles in the English game.

Some key lines and scenes:

  • Santiago Munez: "The only one who can tell me I'm not good enough is you. And even then I may not agree with you"

  • Santiago Munez: "I don't know where home is"
Roz: "Yeah ya do. it's green an' it's got a goal post at each end"

  • Erik Dornhelm: "Here we pass the ball, you understand that? We're a unit, not a one-man show. The name on the front of the shirt is more important than the one on the back"

Props and Music

A poignant song used in this film which we could use for the swede is Morning Glory by Oasis.
Props we will need in this swede will be a football, football tops, and football posts. Also we will need props such as gardening utensils for the pre football section of the film where he's a gardener in America.
